XReels
XReels extension

Privacy policy

Effective 27 October 2026

XReels is an independent Chrome extension for viewing videos on X (Twitter). This policy describes the data the extension uses, stores, and sends when you use its features. XReels is not affiliated with or endorsed by X.

What XReels reads

On x.com and twitter.com, XReels reads the visible post, creator, caption, reply, image, and video information needed to show its viewer. It also observes X request headers, including the authorization and CSRF values from your signed-in X session, so it can request related videos, load replies, and perform the X actions you choose. Those values stay in the X page’s memory. XReels does not store your X password or these session values in extension storage or send them to the publisher or Freemius.

Data kept on your device

When data is sent

XReels has no publisher-operated analytics service, advertising tracker, or backend that receives your viewed posts, trails, X session values, or reply drafts. The extension does not sell user data.

Choices and deletion

You can delete saved trails in the extension popup. You can deactivate a Pro license there, which releases that device’s Freemius activation and clears the saved license record. Removing the extension removes its Chrome extension storage. Preferences stored in x.com’s browser local storage may remain until you clear that site’s data in Chrome. X controls deletion of posts, replies, likes, reposts, follows, and bookmarks on your X account.

Changes and contact

This page will be updated if XReels changes its data practices. The effective date above will change with the policy. For privacy questions, use the publisher support contact on the XReels Chrome Web Store listing.
